GO BLACKACRE BLITZ 2/58

Mags and I taken a little off guard, funny that we both had our hands out our chins, must be a law school thing.
I feel pretty honored in this photo. These two girls are why we are number 2 out of 58 teams this year. We haven't lost a game and it is mostly due to the fact that these two girls sacrifice their time in Professional Responsibility Class to strategize how we will kill the team we are about to play.
We went and got hot chocolate and gelato at mystros
Lisa and Jordan on defence, Soph on the line with me and Mags, everywhere we want her to be at all the right times!
Nik is our quarterback, Marie is usually our center/receiver
Marie and Brandon, B is our "coach". Though really he just comes to help Marie look even better than she already does.
Kel is so hard core that she played despite having gotton a tracheotomy the weekend before. Now that is HARD CORE!
Nice form!
A little tumble, I think this might not have been very pleasent for Nat. sorry friend.
The team!
A little prep work before the game. There is always a scramble for our student cards.
Soph, looking relaxed and keeping it real before the game.
Marie, just doing a little touch up before she goes and smears the other teams faces in the ground.

So yes, we have played our last game of the season before the tournament. We start in the tournament next week. We have seen our Rankings. We are ranked # 2 out of 58 teams, that puts us just below the team who has won for years. I just got butterflies as I write this. I really want to beat that team! We know we are good. We went and scouted out a few other teams who are ranked just below us and we know we can beat them, but really we haven't played any team who could even remotely compete with us, so we are going to have to play it really cool headed once we meet our match.

Maybe I am getting a little too into this sport, but with a team like the Blackacre Blitz who wouldn't!

We went Hiking in Phoenix through the Superstitions last Saturday. Jarrod, Glad and Brittney came with Tucker and I Brittney and Tucker lead us to the finish 14 miles from the start. It was a beautiful day, perfect weather, not too hot.

Gondolla's and Mt. Killington

Three very Brave family members! Made it to the top and down in the Gondila without fainting from fear!
A view of the Mountain from the road going up.
Awesome shot from the top. Anders loves showing

Cool Anders! He is such a great hiker!
Anders got really into acting like he was driving a car while we were taking a picture. He was pretty proud of himself to getting over his fear. I was really proud of all of them. Maddy was super cute, screaming and holding onto the outside door as we tried to step onto the Gondila, then she was able to chill out and take deep breaths for the rest of the trip.
I was studying in bed this morning and Maddi came up to give me a break.
My favorite covered bridge.
I was bummbed about the sun in this one. But it was too cute of both of them not to post.
It was a beautiful view all the way up!

Picking Apples and Petting Zoo, Chilin

Chelle took these shots of me and the Kids. I had so much fun playing with them!

We ate soo many Apples! I think I ate at least 6 before we left. I had to tastes all the different kinds and then I had to eat them when I tasted them! Oh, Apple Heaven!

These animals were so friendly!

Anders had to work up to enjoying the animals, but once he got there he had a blast.

Wyatt really was pulling all these kids around. He is one tough kid!
This girl is amazing!
Uh, ya, I am pretty sure lots of women spend a lot of money to get this sort of hair.

This calf was loving the neck rub I gave her.

Maddie was a little afraid of the animals and the monster looking thing on top of the barn. Couldn't really blame her.

I would lift up the little houses to let the bunnies out and then I would catch one and they would all get a chance to pet it. What a blast!

Vermont with some of my FAVORITE little ones

Chelle and Anders looking over the lake. Sorry they look so serious. I accidentally erased the one where they were smiling.

This is what Anders calls the Water Cave. It is a pipe that runs from the lake on the other side to this stream. I was yelling "Hey Anders!" into it. He was getting quite a kick out of it.

Anders is getting super creative lately. He pulled this face and none of us realized it till we looked at the pictures after.

Seriously, some dang cute kids!
This is Maddie, telling us exactly what we were going to do.

Last night after the conference and playing around with the kids in the house we took the play outside. We played hide and go seek in the cat tails and had a blast wrestling running.

Beautiful Vermont!

I took this photo with my Iphone. I was pretty impressed with myself, and my Iphone.

Vermont Law School Conference on Genocide

Chelle and I were able to go to the last day of the Vermont Law School's International Legal Society Conference on Genocide. We spend the day getting to talk with really cool people like our friend Miatta from Sierra Leone who is working with child soldiers and other communities effected by the conflicts in Sierra Leone.

Jarrod and Glad's Wedding

Here is the picture you have all been waiting for. Too bad I got the dress the morning of and didn't have time to iron it!

Jarrod and Gladriel met last year in Sept. on their first day of school at Yale law school. I remember the day as she called me to let her know she had met a really nice guy who liked to do fun hikes and stuff too. I talked to Jarrod on the phone and figured they were perfect for each other when he talked my ear off as much as Glad does. I was honored to be a part of their wedding and as much as I hate to wear a dress I was happy to do it for them.

Week with Tucker

Tucker got to stay in Utah for the longest time yet. Four days straight. We had a lot of fun hiking in the mornings watching movies with friends and rock climbing with his cousin. It was a good week. This is us at the airport when we realized that the had been there the whole week and we hadn't taken a single picture. He flew out Thursday morning to California, while I flew to Phoenix for Gladriel's wedding.

Sowers of Hope

Here is the gang for Sowers of hope. Four of us will be going to Bukavu, DR Congo this Christmas break. We will bring them lots of supplies and get finalize some business plans.

Glad's vacation

Glad came and stayed with us for about 5 days. She made some excellent lentil and vegetable stew! We enjoyed the sunshine quite a bit while she was here.
