My First Final

I just finished my first final as a law student. It was hell through and through. But there are a lot of perks to being in law school. Like really good friends who bring me food when I need it, or who are willing to take some time out of their own studying to help me understand something. There are a lot of really smart people here, and just enough regular intelligent people that make me think I might just have a chance at passing.
Somehow I felt that I had arrived by taking my first final. I am not sure what I have arrived at, or where I was going in the first place, but where ever it is I have arrived there. Maybe it is just facing one of my biggest fears, that I thought was soo far in the future that I would never reach it.
So here I am, up on a Wed. night after having taken a final this morning and studying till now at 1:15 am. I turn 26 next week. That another thing I thought would never actually get here. Next week I will be in my late 20's.
Yet after having arrived at where ever it is I am, I still wanted to run home yesterday to mom and have her hold me as the stress was too much and, my biological clock was not cooperating with me, springing my period on me the day before my first final.
I don't think arriving is all it is cracked up to be.

Chelle's Family, Lani, and I

Lani got to come to Oregon to take our family photo's. She was really good and patient. This was taken right before she left. Anders now has a thing about wearing clothes. He doesn't like them unless they have a football or soccer ball on them. I am pretty sure Chelle was making him wear a nice red sweater that didn't have anything sporty on it at all. So off it went.
He is deffinitly in his twos, and will do anything he can get away with.

Madeline and Me

This is me with little Madeline Marie Larson, my sister Chelle's baby girl.
She is so alert and smiley. I am pretty sure she is not going to have a problem getting what she wants out of this life.

Ava

This is my Beautiful niece Ava. She is georgeous, can you tell.
I get to see her in the morning and I am a little bit, really excited to hang out with her and all the other little ones!

Nate and Anders

This is Anders, my nephew at Nathan's football game. My bro Nathan looks pretty tough. I think this was the game where in the 4th quarter he took down the rusher and ended up with about 6 guys on top of him. He was left with a concusion. I guess he couldn't figure out where he was or what he was doing for about three days! That a boy Nathan!!!

New Rug

We thought we needed a good roomate picture, so this is what we came up with. We just got that rug, so we were loving laying on it. I am not quite sure what we were doing with our fingures, I think we were trying to pick each other's noses.

Jammin on the Banjo

I got pretty down with my bad self!

Going to Church

Lazy Sunday. That's my cuz Amber with her eyes closed. She is a super fun girl and I get to have her as a roomate, which rocks

Halloween

Glad and I got dressed up for a fun party tonight. She was an 80's rocker and I was a zebra. We had sooo much fun. The wig and ears are curteousy of Gladriel.

Anders and Me

This was when Anders came to visit me. He loved the house. Everynight we would jump on the bed together. That's his football. He can throw it pretty good. Ya, I am pretty sure he is the cutest little guy ever!

Summer Climbing

This one is a little misplaced in the sceme of things. This was this summer, this is my friend David, we call him Vegas, cause that's where he's from. We were watching our friend Jess climb and our necks got sore, and we found this was the best position to remedie our perdicament, We could watch and lay down at the same time. I can't wait for the warm weather to come back.

What life is really like

So I know I got all these great pictures up of my life outside of law school. But I do need to be honest with myself and the rest of the world that may be viewing this blog. My life really does somewhat revolve around the law school. Well 80% revolves around the law school. But really, its not all that bad. Today I discovered how to put two soft couches together in the library to take a nap. It really opened up my world.
I love the people at the school and even though I spend 80% of my time here, including sleeping, I have not got burnt out yet. I think as long as I maintain my 20% of real life I will survive, and come out with some fun stories to tell when it is all over.
Pictures of my life in Law school coming soon . . .

Anders in a Hay Maze

This is my cute Nephew Anders running in a Hay Maze. He is checking out the sweet star stamp on his hand they gave him when he went in.

Sierra

This is Cici, She has the greatest personality. Looks like she got a good pumpkin

Ava and Bri

These are my cute nieces, they are twins. Could they be any cuter!! I can't wait to see them for Thanksgiving!

Outside

Here is the outside of the house. This is before we got the new roof. We had to tear the first layer of roof off then they put the second layer on top of the bottom layer you see here.
I will post an updated picture of the outside soon.
All the trees are different colors now.

New Carpet and Fresh paint going up the stairs

Here are the stairs. I love the carpet on them. It was a remnant, so a left over, they gave me a good deal on it.

Jessica's Room

This is an old picture, but you can get the feel of Jessica's room from it. Her colors were pretty intense too. But they look great. She has a new window too. New window are in most of the house now.
She also has a bed now too. She was sleeping on the floor for a while.

The Dinning Room

Here is the dinning room, notice there is no table. We usually sit on the floor for our formal dinning. I got new rugs for this room and the living room. And although we got that little nook all cleaned up we have not built the counter there yet. We will have a counter there for studying once we get to it. Right now we just store our tools and supplies back there.
We do most of our studying there on the floor or the couches. We have some pretty fun girls in the house. Notice that chandelir is gone and we have the light fan up in it's place.

Gladriels Room Done!

Here is Gladriel's room. She picked out her own colors. I was a little taken a back at first but I really like the color now. She has some cool decorations too.

My Sitting room and Closet

Here is my closet and sitting room. I have to be careful not to hit my head.
I was lucky to find all my furniture for really good deals at garage sales, or it was just donated to me by relatives or their neighbors.

My Bedroom Now

Here is my bedroom all finished with new windows and all. It was a little messy sorry! I was getting ready for my trip to Montreal so my stuff is everywhere.

Another View of the living Room

Here is the Living room from another view, same as that photo when the couches were pushed to the inside. It is so nice to see the progress.

Lani's Photos

Those three photos on the wall are Lani's that she gave us as house warming gifts. We love them a lot, too bad there isn't a better picture of it.

Living Room Finished

Here is the living Room after we finally got all the pictures up and the books on the shelf. When we got the bookshelves up Jess came running out into the living room saying, "We are soo cool, we have bookshelves!" Then she realized that the roofers were in the house, she turned and ran away. It was funny at the time.

New Wall in the Living Room

Here is the new wall in our living room on the otherside of Gladriel's room. We had just puttied it and it is looking ready to prime and paint. We used a sand texture in the primer that we rolled on to cover imperfections. It turned out pretty nice. . .

My Bathroom

This is my toilet and Bathtub in my cute little Allison in wonderland bathroom.
we moved the toilet so people would not hit their knees on the tub and put a curtain up finally. Before putting the curtain up I was giving a bit of a show to the neighbors as there is a window on the other side of the tub.

Gladriels Room

This is the new wall we built to make a room again where there had been one. Edna, the woman who lived in the house before me had knocked out that wall to enlarge the living room. So we put it back up and this is before we had the sheet rock in place.

Out my Bedroom

This was the carpet and walls going out my bedroom down the stairs. There were about three layers of carpet on the platform upstairs then that nasty red carpet going down the stairs. That was a chore to rip up!

My Bed Room

This is my Bedroom after ripping the wall paper off and before ripping the carpet out. It was some cool shag carpent but it was dirty and dicolored, not worth trying to keep. Those walls took a lot of patching!

Dining Room

This is the Dining room before all the tools were put away, while we were still getting the wall paper off, and before all the cabinents and nasty tile florring were ripped off in that little alcove. Check out the chandelir. That was way old school. I almost kept it but then I just couldn't handle it anymore. We put a light fan in its place.

Living Room Before

This is the living room after all the wall paper and panelling was ripped off the wall. It is all patched up here and ready to be painted.

My Bro Elder Vial

This is Elder Vial, My sis Michelle, Her baby Madeline and me after conference this October

Sunday Beautiful!

This is a beautiful Sunday in Provo Canyon. I love taking my motercycle up the canyon any chance I get, especially now when the colors are so amazing.

Dominique and Yvette

This is Dominique and Yvette. I met them in La Reunion and along with Ester we were able to help them understand the gospel. They came up for Ester's wedding and sang her a song at the reception.
It was great to be able to spend time with them. They always take great care of me. Taking me out for dinner and feeding me good french cheeze and hot chocolate for breakfast!

Ester and Robert outside the Montreal Temple

Ester was my mission companion in La Reunion.
Although her Ballarina personality and my wilderness girl attitude clashed for the first month or so that we were together, after 5 months of serving we became great friends. Her and Robert make a great couple. They are the type of couple that I meet and think to myself. Hmm, it would be really nice to have something like that someday.
