New Hair, West Rim Angel's Landing Hike

This is me showing off my new Pink highlights! Don't worry they didn't last all summer.
After cleaning up our house and catching up with friends, Gladriel and I packed up our gear in ten minutes and headed down to Zion's at 2 in the morning. Needless to say, we didn't make it all the way to the hike that night/morning. After only driving an hour each we were already hallucinating. I guess not sleeping for two weeks then trying to go on a road trip wasn't the best plan. But we got to sleep in the back of my wagon at a gas station. We woke up refreshed and ready to go. We had a beautiful two day hike reconnecting with what is important in life. We'll I reconnected and Glad studied Blue book. That's why she is going to make the big bucks, and I am going to keep hiking.

Night After My Last Final . . . at the Y

This is my friend Ryan, my Roommate Gladriel, my Dog Lucy and our neighbor dog, Gus after hiking up to the Y. It was a great way to unload all that finals stress.

March 26 - April 1

Monday
Got called on in Class right after Ms. Clayson my roomate was called on, neither of us could anwer. Embarasing yes, unexpected maybe, but not really at this point in the semester.
After not being able to anwer, the teacher stopped mid sentance and asked if everyone thought it smelled like somone had been burning incense. I sunk in my seat, my petchouili was a little strong I guessed.

Tuesday
After Class while Nikki, Ms. Clayson (Glad) and I sat finishing up our notes, Glad thought it was important that she help our teacher solve the mystery of the incense. We were the only ones left in the room. Professor Gordon, was walking out when she shooted, Professor Gordon, you know how you though it smelled like incense yesterday? Well that was my hippie roomate, Ms. Vial. I turned a little red!
That night I competed in the quarterfinal's for Moot court and rocked it, to go on to the Semi- Finals

Wednesday
Got called on by Constitutional law professor Gedicks while in a combined class with all of the 1st years. I knew the anwers, and what I didn't know, Glad knew. And lets just say I was a little proud of my self.
Prom!!!! We had a lot of fun getting dressed up and meeting at Nikki's house, where we took some more photos. Ty and I had a blast dancing all night. It was just a continuity of the wave, just riding the wave.

Thursday
I was just a little distracted from my good time at Prom. Got my carrel seat, I was 94th pick and got a carrel a little far away from all my peeps.
Study group, 3 hours, Prep for the new oral argument 3 hours. Had to switch sides and was a little flustered. Missed the case name while arguing. Didn't move on!
Fell off the wave.

Friday
Had a letter on my desk inviting me to be a senior editor for the Education Law Journal, started paddling again.
Went climbing with a crush, went to mission reunion. Told stories around a bonfire. Saw good friends I have missed and ended in a cuddlefest with good friends.

Saturday
Was so tired I wanted to die. Studied till late.

Sunday
Mom and Dad were in town. Slept in spent all morning cleaning the house. Watched the last session of conference with the family. Got a blessing from Dad and Chris, I think I will now make it through finals. Came home and heard some good music from Jess, and Nathaniel. Hung up a Hammock on the porch. Maybe someday I will get to use it!

Kayaking Fun!

Kayaking in San Diego,
Glad and I were having a kayaking adventure. Turnes out Glad's dad is just as nutts as her and I. There is a cave off of La Jolla beach where we went Kayaking. We saw tons of dolphins and Pelicans before Glad's dad and I decided we would try going though the cave, after the life guards told us to turn around. We waited for a break in the big swells and then charged it. Turnes out we probably should have paid a little more attention to the rip tide that was pulling water out of the cave as we were trying to fight our way into it. Right as we were going into the cave a huge swell smashed us sideways into the rock. Thank goodness for helmets cause I probably would have been dead without mine. I managed to fight off lossing conciousness as I looked around for Bobby (Glad's dad), who I found in the water ahead of the boat, in a state of shock. I grabed him and pulled him close to the boat as he grabed the rope, then with the help of what ever angels were watching out for us (cause I know I didn't have the strength on my own), I paddled beyond the waves where Bobby jumped back in the boat. That's when the life guards reminded us not to go close to the rocks/ Ya, good idea! Then we paddled to shore straight up to a bonefire a family was nice enough to share with us.
All in all I would say it was a great day! One of those days that really makes me happy to be alive, and wondering why it is that I keep doing the "adventurous" things I do.

Hard Core!

Ya, so this was the first day and it usually takes my body a day or two to bruise up. Now everything is a deep yellow or green, pretty huh. That shoulder wound went through 4 layers of clothes, and the clothes were not torn, so I am not really sure how I ended up with so much scabbing. But hey, it looks hard core, so I am not complaining.

Beanie by Glad

Glad wanted to get a shot of the beanie she made for me. I ended up taking the 4.0 out before wearing it to school cause I guess it might have made some people more upset then we intended to do. We were just trying to get a laugh out of everyone who was so stressed out about getting grades. I did get my grades latter, and I can assure you that I did not get a 4.0! And with the looks of them, I don’t ever planning on getting one.

Mid Week Snowboarding Sesh.

Nikkie, Bryn, Glad and I went to play in the snow. Nikkie beat up her tail bone and hasn't been able to sit comfortably since then. It was a good day in the snow, pretty warm and my snowboarding skills got more better.

Happy Birthday to Me!

This was our Dance party for my birthday / finishing finals party. It was a pretty small party cause everyone was so tired from finals. But we had fun dancing and making ginger bread houses.

Snow Boarding lessons at Sundance

I have the best roomate. As proof, my roomate Gladriel took a day off work to come home and teach us how to snowboard at Sundance, where we could all afford the lift ticket. I learned so much that day!

Another Picture of the Snowshowing Gang

Ryan, Me, Tyler, Jessica.

Jess, Luz and I Snowshowing

What a beautiful day at Big Spring Hallow! We went snowshoing for a couple hours, our hair, mouths and nose hairs were all frozen half way through.

Luz and I

This is my New Dog Luz. She is so smart!!! She is a lab Pit Bull mix and is really sweet. As you can see here, she helps me study really hard! Actually not really, but at least she provides a good pillow for me when I can't go any longer!

My First Final

I just finished my first final as a law student. It was hell through and through. But there are a lot of perks to being in law school. Like really good friends who bring me food when I need it, or who are willing to take some time out of their own studying to help me understand something. There are a lot of really smart people here, and just enough regular intelligent people that make me think I might just have a chance at passing.
Somehow I felt that I had arrived by taking my first final. I am not sure what I have arrived at, or where I was going in the first place, but where ever it is I have arrived there. Maybe it is just facing one of my biggest fears, that I thought was soo far in the future that I would never reach it.
So here I am, up on a Wed. night after having taken a final this morning and studying till now at 1:15 am. I turn 26 next week. That another thing I thought would never actually get here. Next week I will be in my late 20's.
Yet after having arrived at where ever it is I am, I still wanted to run home yesterday to mom and have her hold me as the stress was too much and, my biological clock was not cooperating with me, springing my period on me the day before my first final.
I don't think arriving is all it is cracked up to be.

Chelle's Family, Lani, and I

Lani got to come to Oregon to take our family photo's. She was really good and patient. This was taken right before she left. Anders now has a thing about wearing clothes. He doesn't like them unless they have a football or soccer ball on them. I am pretty sure Chelle was making him wear a nice red sweater that didn't have anything sporty on it at all. So off it went.
He is deffinitly in his twos, and will do anything he can get away with.
