Kayaking in San Diego,
Glad and I were having a kayaking adventure. Turnes out Glad's dad is just as nutts as her and I. There is a cave off of La Jolla beach where we went Kayaking. We saw tons of dolphins and Pelicans before Glad's dad and I decided we would try going though the cave, after the life guards told us to turn around. We waited for a break in the big swells and then charged it. Turnes out we probably should have paid a little more attention to the rip tide that was pulling water out of the cave as we were trying to fight our way into it. Right as we were going into the cave a huge swell smashed us sideways into the rock. Thank goodness for helmets cause I probably would have been dead without mine. I managed to fight off lossing conciousness as I looked around for Bobby (Glad's dad), who I found in the water ahead of the boat, in a state of shock. I grabed him and pulled him close to the boat as he grabed the rope, then with the help of what ever angels were watching out for us (cause I know I didn't have the strength on my own), I paddled beyond the waves where Bobby jumped back in the boat. That's when the life guards reminded us not to go close to the rocks/ Ya, good idea! Then we paddled to shore straight up to a bonefire a family was nice enough to share with us.
All in all I would say it was a great day! One of those days that really makes me happy to be alive, and wondering why it is that I keep doing the "adventurous" things I do.
