We had a great weekend Thanks to Tucker's aunt who let us borrow their beach house. The weather was freezing, but the rain let up enough for us to do some fun exploring.We stopped at a great ice cream place in Long Beach Washington. It was really tasty but I ate way too much. I am now on an Ice Cream Strike to get over the trauma of how sick I felt after for two days.

Merino Wool makes the best jammies for little ones. He never wakes up sweaty with these on, but he stays toasty warm all night. I am constantly washing this set. Hopefully we can get some more pairs for next winter.

Our Cousin Heather Robbins organized a fun run called Zombies and Survivors. They ran around a cool farm out in Tualitin. This year I did the Portland to Coast with a bunch of fun ladies in my Ward. We had to start at 3:30 am. I had a great time, but wished we could have had a little more sleep. We went out to Lincoln City for some work stuff in June. We took Tucker's parents and had a good time in our hotel and hanging out the next day. Rotorua the Town

Rotorua is the cultural capitol of New Zealand. In this spot there is an Anglican Church facing the Maori Marae. The town in built on lava warmed steam baths. They bury their family above ground as they would hit hot water if they buried them below. We had a fun day here.

Caves in Waitomo

This was at the glow worm caves in Waitomo. The caves were sweet! We just walked through cause we had Weston, but one of the caves you can go white water rafting in. The caves are filled with glow worms which light up the ceilings above the streams and rivers that runt through the caves.

Fox Glacier and Bungy Jumping

We went bungy jumping off the original bungy jumping bridge. I was scared. We jumped together and Weston was pretty sad thinking we probably were not coming bad. We probably should not have let him watch, he will probably be traumatized for life!We are in front of fox glacier here. It was beautiful. This was down in the power plant. They built a power plant to get energy for an aluminium smelter. The water goes from the lake, down a tunnel, through generators and then shoots into the sound which is lower than the lake. This was in Kaikora on the east coast about two hours north of Christchurch. There was a bunch of baby seals right off the road about two minutes walk up a stream. Their mom's leave them for the day while they go get food and the baby's have a ball playing in the stream and water fall.

New Zealand Hikes are nothing to joke about. They are tough. If they say strenuous, you can bet they will be harder than any strenuous hike in the states. If you look close there is a marker at the top of this hill. Weston got his two bottom teeth right before we left and learned how to use them in Sumner as I was letting him chew on my apple. He bit right into my finger. Hurt pretty bad.Sumner is a little town outside Christchurch. It was hit pretty hard by the earthquake as it is right next to a big cliff.

Shanghi Tunnels, Portland Or.

The tunnels were built in the early 1900s and used to kidnap men and women from the red light district bars and brothols then sell them to captains as extra ship hands. It was pretty interesting.
